What counts as "one emergency" in the free trial?
A real activation — an actual event you'd stand up your operation for, like a hurricane, flood, or major incident. You run Lighthouse USA through the whole thing at no cost, from first alert to the after-action report. If nothing major happens in your trial window, you simply get the full 30 days free instead.
Do small counties really get every feature?
Yes — that's the whole point. There is one version of Lighthouse USA. A rural county with a handful of staff gets the exact same platform as a large metro: EOC activation, ICS incident management, the field apps, AI monitoring, drills, and FEMA-compatible reporting. We scale the price to your size, never the software.
Can we coordinate with neighboring counties?
Yes — that's what Operating Areas are for. You control your own county, but you can watch your whole Operating Area (the counties on your line) and communicate across areas when an event spans borders. It's built for mutual aid, not single-county silos.
Is there a setup or implementation fee?
No. Most emergency platforms charge $5,000–$50,000 just to get started. We don't. There's no separate onboarding invoice, and no charge for the free public data feeds you already have a right to.
What happens after the first year?
Your first year of 24-hour support is free. After that you move to a reasonable contract sized to your organization and county population — no surprise increases, no hidden add-ons. What we quote is what you pay; we will never ask for more than that.
What does the price actually depend on?
The size of your organization and your county's population — not the number of seats, not which features you turn on. As your team grows, your bill doesn't jump. Everyone on staff who needs access gets it.
